Unique advantages
- Effective performance: the drug significantly improves reproductive function and increases fertility rates in animals.
- Targeted action: Surfagon specifically affects the reproductive system without causing side effects in other internal organs.
- Physiological impact: promotes proper functioning and regulates natural body processes.
- Easy dosing, simple application, and rapid results.
Indications for use
- Hypofunction of ovaries and follicular cysts.
- Need to increase the functional activity of the corpus luteum of the ovaries, enhance female fertility, and early induction of the sexual cycle.
Application procedure
Surfagon is administered to animals intramuscularly. The timing of administration, frequency, and dosage depend on the indications and the species of animals.
- For early induction of the sexual cycle in cows, Surfagon is administered once at a dose of 50 mcg on days 8–12 after calving. Although animals may come into estrus, insemination should not be performed earlier than 60 days after calving.
- For the treatment of mild ovarian hypofunction in cows, Surfagon is administered twice: the first dose of 50 mcg on days 8–12 of the estrous cycle, and a repeat dose of 50 mcg 10 days later.
- In cases of more pronounced ovarian hypofunction, cows are given 10 ml of a 1% oil solution of progesterone intramuscularly on days 1, 3, and 5, followed by Estrophantin at a dose of 2 ml and Surfagon at a dose of 50 mcg on day 7. Animals are inseminated as soon as they come into estrus.
- For the treatment of follicular cysts, Surfagon is administered to cows three times at 24-hour intervals at a dose of 20–25 mcg. On days 11–13 after the first administration, Estrophantin is used intramuscularly at a dose of 2 ml. Animals are inseminated upon onset of estrus.
- In cases of two or more unsuccessful inseminations, cows are administered Estrophantin intramuscularly at a dose of 2 ml, followed by Surfagon at a dose of 50 mcg after 70 hours; insemination is performed when the animals come into estrus. For cows that do not come into estrus, Surfagon is re-administered at a dose of 50 mcg. Animals that come into estrus are inseminated.
- To prevent early embryonic mortality in cows, Surfagon is administered on days 3, 5, and 9 after insemination at a dose of 20–25 mcg.
- To increase fertilization rates and synchronize ovulation in sows, 600–800 IU of eCG is administered 24–48 hours after piglet weaning. Upon detection of estrus, Surfagon is administered at a dose of 10 mcg prior to insemination. Insemination is carried out in accordance with standard instructions.
- To stimulate the development of reproductive organs in replacement gilts, Surfagon is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 10 mcg per animal, 60 and 30 days prior to scheduled insemination.
- To increase fertilization rates in ewes, Surfagon is administered once at a dose of 15–20 mcg. Artificial insemination is performed 12–14 hours later, and animals are inseminated a second time after another 12 hours.
