Indications for use
- Hypofunction of ovaries and follicular cysts.
- Need to increase the functional activity of the corpus luteum of the ovaries, enhance female fertility, and early induction of the sexual cycle.
Application procedure
Surfagon solution is administered intramuscularly to animals. The timing, frequency, and dosage of the drug depend on the indications for use and the type of animals.
- For early induction of the sexual cycle in cows, administer Surfagon solution once at a dose of 50 mcg on days 8 to 12 post-calving. Despite animals coming into heat, insemination is not performed earlier than 60 days post-calving.
- For the treatment of mild ovarian hypofunction in cows, administer Surfagon solution twice: the first time on days 8 to 12 of the sexual cycle at a dose of 50 mcg, and repeat after 10 days at the same dose.
- For more pronounced ovarian hypofunction, administer 10 ml of 1% oil solution of progesterone intramuscularly to cows on days 1, 3, and 5, on day 7 administer Estrofant in a dose of 2 ml and Surfagon solution at a dose of 50 mcg. Inseminate animals as they come into heat.
- For the treatment of follicular cysts, administer Surfagon solution to cows three times at 24-hour intervals at a dose of 20-25 mcg. On days 11 to 13 after the first administration of the drug, administer Estrofan or Estrofantin intramuscularly at a dose of 2 ml. Inseminate animals as they come into heat.
- For preventing early embryonic mortality in cows, administer Surfagon solution on days 3, 5, and 9 post-insemination at a dose of 20-25 mcg.
- To enhance fertility and synchronize ovulation in sow mothers, administer 600-800 IU of Follimag 24-48 hours after weaning. After detecting estrus, administer Surfagon solution at a dose of 10 mcg before insemination. Follow the instructions for inseminating the animals.
