Indications for use
Pulmaprim is used for therapeutic purposes in:
- Cattle for bacterial infections of the respiratory organs caused by Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somnus, and Mycoplasma bovis, and infectious keratoconjunctivitis caused by Moraxella bovis and Neisseria spp.
- Pigs for bacterial infections of the respiratory organs caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, and Bordetella bronchiseptica.
Application procedure
- For cattle: administer a single subcutaneous dose of 1 ml per 40 kg of animal weight (2.5 mg of tulathromycin per 1 kg of live weight). For large cattle weighing over 300 kg, divide the dose so that no more than 7.5 ml is injected at one site.
- For pigs: administer a single intramuscular dose in the neck area of 1 ml per 40 kg of animal weight (2.5 mg of tulathromycin per 1 kg of live weight). For pigs weighing over 80 kg, divide the dose so that no more than 2 ml is injected at one site.
