Indications for use

Parobact 70 is prescribed to calves for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of bacterial etiology caused by microorganisms sensitive to paromomycin, including colibacillosis and cryptosporidiosis. The product is used only for young cattle.

Application procedure

The product is administered to calves with milk or milk replacer once daily for 3–5 days at the following dose:

• 25–50 mg of paromomycin sulfate per kg of body weight per day (equivalent to 250–500 mg of the product per kg of body weight).
• Before use, the single dose of the product should be dissolved in milk or milk replacer by adding the liquid to the powder. The solubility of the product has been tested at a maximum concentration of 95 g/l.
• For administration with milk or milk replacer, the exact daily amount of the product should be calculated based on the recommended dose and considering the number and weight of the animals to be treated according to the following formula:

To ensure proper dosing, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.

The prepared solution in milk or milk replacer must be used within 6 hours after preparation.
