Indications for use
Metriprim is indicated for the stimulation of labor in cases of uterine atony and hypotonia, prevention of retained placenta and subinvolution of the uterus, improvement of fertility, and as part of combination therapy for the treatment of postpartum endometritis in cows.
Application procedure
Metriprim is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.
At a dose of 10 ml per animal:
- for stimulation of labor and prevention of postpartum complications in cows - once on the day of calving;
- for retained placenta - three times at 12‑hour intervals;
- for treatment of subinvolution of the uterus and postpartum endometritis - three times at 24‑hour intervals, in combination with other drugs.
At a dose of 5 ml per animal:
The drug is prohibited for use in animals with confirmed or suspected pregnancy.
