Indications for use
Meloxiprim is used as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication:
- For cattle, it is administered for diarrhea in combination with rehydration therapy, for acute respiratory infections, for purulent-catarrhal mastitis as part of a comprehensive treatment with appropriate antibacterial therapy, as well as for inflammatory processes of the musculoskeletal system;
- For pigs, it is used for disorders of the musculoskeletal system associated with non-infectious inflammatory processes, for the treatment of postpartum sepsis and the mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome in combination with appropriate antibacterial drugs;
- For horses, it is administered for chronic and acute diseases of the musculoskeletal system and colic as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent.
Application procedure
Meloxiprim is administered as follows:
- For cattle: once subcutaneously or intravenously at a dose of 1 ml per 40 kg of body weight;
- For pigs: once intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight, with a possible repeat injection after 24 hours;
- For horses: once intravenously at a dose of 1 ml per 33 kg of body weight.
