Indications for use
In cattle, Cobactoprim is prescribed for therapeutic purposes in cases of:
- Respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida and Pasteurella haemolytica
- Interdigital dermatitis and pododermatitis of bacterial etiology
- Acute mastitis, including cases caused by E. coli
- Escherichiosis (colibacillosis) in calves
In swine, Cobactoprim is prescribed for:
- Respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Streptococcus suis
- MMA syndrome (mastitis-metritis-agalactia)
- Meningitis caused by Streptococcus suis
- Arthritis
- Dermatitis
- Other bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to cefquinome
Application procedure
Cobactoprim is administered to animals by deep intramuscular injection.
In cattle:
- Respiratory diseases, acute interdigital necrobacillosis, dermatitis and pododermatitis of bacterial etiology in the interdigital area: 2 ml/50 kg once daily for 3–5 days
- Mastitis (acute, complicated by septicemia): 2 ml/50 kg once daily for 2 days
- Escherichiosis (colibacillosis) in calves: 4 ml/50 kg once daily for 3–5 days
In swine:
- Respiratory diseases: 2 ml/25 kg once daily for 3 days
- MMA syndrome: 4 ml/50 kg once daily for 2 days
- Meningitis, arthritis, dermatitis: 2 ml/25 kg once daily for 5 days
Shake the vial thoroughly before each use.
