Indications for use
The drug is prescribed to cattle, sheep, goats, deer, and camels:
• For nematodoses: dictyocaulosis, trichostrongylidosis, strongyloidosis, ascariasis, bunostomosis, thelaziosis.
• For hypodermatosis, oestrosis, psoroptosis, sarcoptosis, siphunculosis, mallophagosis.
• For combating carrion and meat flies.
For horses:
• For strongylatoses, parascaridosis, oxyurosis, sarcoptosis, and gastrophilosis.
For pigs:
• For ascariasis, esophagostomosis, trichocephalosis, strongyloidosis, stephanuriasis, metastrongylosis, and other nematodoses; for sarcoptosis and lice infestation.
For dogs and cats:
• For toxocariasis and toxascaridosis, ankylostomosis and uncinariasis, sarcoptosis and otodectosis, demodicosis, and flea infestations.
Application procedure
The drug is administered:
• To large and small cattle, horses, deer, and camels — subcutaneously or intramuscularly at 1 cm³ per 50 kg of animal weight (200 μg of active substance per 1 kg of weight).
• To pigs — intramuscularly at 1 cm³ per 33 kg of animal weight (300 μg of active substance per 1 kg of weight) once.
• To dogs and cats — administered at a rate of 0.2 cm³ of the drug per 10 kg of animal weight (200 μg of active substance per 1 kg of weight). If the volume of the injected solution exceeds 10 cm³, it should be administered in several sites.
The drug is used against nematodes in animals before housing and in spring before pasture turnout; against gadfly larvae immediately after the end of the gadfly flight; against pathogens of acarine-entomoses as indicated. Each batch of the drug (when used on farm animals) is preliminarily tested on a small group (7–10 heads) of animals. In the absence of complications within 3 days, treatment of the entire livestock begins.
